Inviting your readers
For authorsUpdated 1 min read
Every author account holds five reader invites during the beta: one link, five uses, from Studio › Invite readers. A reader who arrives through it is counted as yours.
The short answer
The beta opens by invitation, and authors bring their readers. Every author account holds five reader invites: one link (and one code) that opens a reader account, up to five times.
Where the invites are
- Open Studio › Invite readers.
- Your invite link and code are on the page, with a live count: n of 5 used and how many are left.
- Choose Copy link (or Copy code) and send it to the readers you want here first.
What a reader does with it
The link opens the account form with the code already in place; a code alone is typed on the sign-up page. Each use opens one reader account: the people who read you, review you and join your Circles. Readers do not hold invites of their own; only authors bring readers.
When the five are used
The page says so ("All five are used"). Ask for more, or for an invite for another author, from Help › Contact support; a person answers. Nobody outside the team can mint a general code.
When signup is open
On a deployment where signup is open, nobody needs a code, but a reader who arrives through your link is still counted as yours. The page says which mode it is in.
What counts as yours
A reader who joined on your invitation and finished one of your books counts towards the Brought Readers achievement (see How achievements work).

- The beta, what it is, who gets in, what is free: Booklabria is a closed beta by invitation. Readers never pay; author plans exist but nothing is charged during the beta; ARC files are delivered through protected, expiring links; apps for iOS and Android are on the way; nobody here can give a date.
- Running an ARC campaign: Studio, Campaigns, New campaign walks through the book, dates and reader spots, ideal readers (genres, tropes, languages, regions, requirements), delivery (formats, files, your message) and how to launch (draft, scheduled, or now). Applications gather under Applications with each reader's match and reliability; approve or decline one by one or in batches, and every decision notifies the reader.
- Understanding your analytics: Studio, Analytics answers one question per chart in plain words: followers (exact and current), monthly readers (people who took a reading action in the last 30 days), monthly reach (people who saw your profile or posts), the campaign funnel, posting cadence and what lands. Audience shows recent followers, the tastes they chose to make public, and your e-mail list with its export history. Aggregated nightly; no sales figures, nothing faked.
