Who sees what, reporting, blocking, your data.

1. 1.Who sees what: profile visibilitySettings › Privacy sets your whole profile to public, followers only or private, and your library, reading progress, activity and follower list each on their own. Your follow-through is a fifth setting: by default only the authors you request a copy from see it. 2. 2.Reporting and blockingEvery profile, post, comment, book, review and photo has Report in its menu; a human moderator reviews it. Blocking someone hides you from each other entirely, they are not told, and you can undo it under Settings › Privacy.For readers and authors · updated 2026-10-16
3. 3.Appealing a moderation decisionWhen a moderator hides a post or review, unpublishes a book, archives a Circle or suspends an account, the owner is told with the reason. To appeal, contact support with what was hidden and why the decision was wrong; a different person reviews it.For readers and authors · updated 2026-09-20
4. 4.Download your dataSettings › Privacy › Download your data builds a complete copy of your account, free, always; it is ready in a few minutes, kept for 7 days, and each download link lives about 15 minutes. 5. 5.Sharing your e-mail with an authorAn author never gets your e-mail address from a follow, a request or a review. The one way is the checkbox beside Follow, "Also send me the author's letters by e-mail. The author can export your e-mail address." Tick it and the author's letters arrive in your inbox and your address is in the author's export; unsubscribe from any letter in one click, or under Settings › Notifications, and the next export leaves you out.For readers · updated 2026-09-22
