Plans, and what the beta unlocks

Readers never pay; there is no reader plan and never will be. Authors have plans (Author, free; Creator; Pro; Publisher, for teams) with planned prices shown on Pricing, but during the closed beta nothing is charged, no card is collected, there is no checkout, and every author feature is unlocked. Authors are told well in advance before billing opens.

Readers never pay
There is no reader plan and there never will be: shelves, reviews, following, ARC access, smart shelves, saved searches, goals, insights, wraps, Profile Studio, hosting Reading Circles and exporting your data are part of every reader account, for as long as it exists, with no ads and no selling of your data. A reader's Settings › Billing says exactly that and nothing else.
Authors have plans
The Pricing page lists the author plans and what each includes: Author (free), Creator, Pro and Publisher (for teams), with their planned monthly prices marked Planned price, not billed in beta. Booklabria is not a store and takes no cut of book sales; a plan is a flat subscription for the launch and audience tools.
During the closed beta
- Nothing is charged. Payments are switched off across the whole product: no checkout, no card form, no way to be charged.
- Every author feature is unlocked so you can build your catalogue and run campaigns for free. An author's Settings › Billing shows the plan and says so.
- Booklabria never stores a card; when payments exist, details will live with the payment provider.
When billing opens
Authors will be told well in advance, and nothing changes without your say. When it does open, you will be able to cancel or move down a tier whenever you like: paid features last to the end of the period you paid for, then the account continues on the free Author plan. Your books, entries and readers stay; where a lower tier has a smaller catalogue or campaign limit, existing items remain visible and read-only. You are never locked out of your own work.
