Official Author Circles

An author starts an author circle around one of their books or series from the Circles page or the Studio; it shows the Official Author Circle mark once the author profile is verified. It works like any Circle with the author as owner, plus drop-ins and, where a video provider is connected, live sessions. "Author participating" marks a Circle the author is in but does not run.

Starting one
On Circles (or from a book in the Studio), press Start an author circle and pick one of your published or coming-soon books, or a series to gather around; the Circle needs one. Everything else works as for any Circle you own (Running a Reading Circle): the same Manage tab, plan, polls, challenges and moderation presets, and readers join under the policy you choose. The Author event and ARC discussion presets are built for this.
The mark
The Circle carries the Official Author Circle mark once Booklabria can prove two things: you own the Circle, and your author profile is verified (Author verification). Until then it is an ordinary Circle around your book; the mark appears on its own when verification lands, and leaves if verification is withdrawn (you are told). The mark is about the Circle, not a verified tick on your profile.
A Circle you take part in but do not run shows Author participating instead, styled more quietly so the two are never confused.
Drop-ins and live sessions
Any Circle can invite you for a drop-in at a date and time; you accept or decline, members submit their questions, and the thread stays after the session (The reading plan, checkpoints and meetings).
Live sessions with video are scheduled from your Official Author Circle's Live tab: a book, a length, when it runs, who can join and the access rule. They need a connected video account on a provider the deployment offers; if none is configured, the page says so and nothing else about the Circle is affected. Attendance and the numbers appear under Live in the Studio.

- Promotions and events: Studio, Promotions holds deals (a discount, a free run or a bundle, with dates, an optional book and a where-to-buy link) and events (a launch, a signing, a panel, with a place or an online link). Save one quietly or announce it; announcing notifies everyone following your pen name, and there is no unsend.
- The Author Journal: New entry opens the Journal composer with fourteen formats in four groups (General; Book and Story; Launch and ARC; Community), each asking only for what it needs, an audience (Public, Followers, Only me), an optional content note that hides the entry behind a spoiler warning, and a preview. Entries can be saved as drafts under Studio, Posts, and one can be pinned to your page.
