Booklabria is installable from the browser (Add to Home Screen on iPhone and iPad; Install from the address bar or menu elsewhere) and can send push notifications where the deployment supports them. Native iOS and Android apps are on the way, with no date.
The short answer
Today: install from the browser
Booklabria works in a phone's browser and can be installed like an app, with its own icon and no browser bar.
- iPhone or iPad: open Booklabria in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Android and desktop browsers: the browser offers Install in its address bar or menu when the app is ready; Settings › Notifications › On your phone says so too.
Once installed, Settings › Notifications › On your phone reads "Installed: you are using the app." If a page cannot be reached with no connection, the app shows an offline notice rather than a browser error.
Push notifications
Push arrives on the installed app when you switch it on under Settings › Notifications (the Push column, and On your phone). The section tells you the state: Push is on for this device, Notifications are blocked for Booklabria in this browser (allow them in the browser's site settings, then come back), This browser does not support push notifications, or Push notifications are not available on this deployment yet. Other devices where push is on are listed so you can see where you are reachable.
Native apps
Apps for iOS and Android are on the way. There is no release date, and nobody can give one yet; it will be said on the beta status page and the home page when they are ready. See The beta.
