Every profile, post, comment, book, review and photo has Report in its menu; a human moderator reviews it. Blocking someone hides you from each other entirely, they are not told, and you can undo it under Settings › Privacy.

Every profile, post, comment, book, review and photo has Report in its ⋯ menu.
- Choose the reason: Harassment or bullying, Hate speech, Spam, Explicit content (unmarked), Self-harm (someone may be at risk), Impersonation, Copyright, Misinformation, or Something else.
- Add detail if it helps, and send.
- A human moderator reviews it, oldest first, with the reported content in context. You are not told who acted, and there is no ticket to follow: reports go straight to the moderation team.
What can happen next is written in the Community guidelines: dismiss, hide the content, warn, suspend, or remove. Every action is logged. A reported photo is shown to nobody but moderators while the report is open.
Blocking
Block, followed by the person's name, is in the ⋯ menu of a profile. Confirm, and:
- you will not see each other's posts, comments or profiles, in search or anywhere else;
- follows and ARC interactions between you end, in both directions;
- the blocked person is not told;
- you are taken home.
You never need to justify a block. Undo it any time under Settings › Privacy › Blocked: unblocking lets them see your public content and interact with you again, but previous follows are not restored.
In a Reading Circle
A Circle's owner and moderators can remove or ban a member from the Circle; that is separate from blocking and is described in Running a Reading Circle.
If it is urgent
Report it in the app and, during the beta, also write to the safety address on the Community guidelines: moderation is a small human team and response times are measured in days, not minutes.

- Appealing a moderation decision: When a moderator hides a post or review, unpublishes a book, archives a Circle or suspends an account, the owner is told with the reason. To appeal, contact support with what was hidden and why the decision was wrong; a different person reviews it.
- Who sees what: profile visibility: Settings › Privacy sets your whole profile to public, followers only or private, and your library, reading progress, activity and follower list each on their own. Author pages are public by nature; what an author keeps private is the library and activity.
